Sunday May 15th a true tragedy happened in Annapolis to a player in one of our leagues.
At 12:45PM on Sunday, May 15th Hudson Maurice Gensler was struck by a car at his own 3rd birthday party in Annapolis. Hudson’s father, Larry, was receiving medical treatment for a sprained ankle, suffered during one of our Sunday morning games, when this happened. While at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Larry was informed that his innocent child was accidentally struck with his best friend’s car as he was moving it out of the driveway. It fills me with great sadness and regret to inform all of you that Hudson passed away at 1:59PM that day. His viewing was well attended by His family, friends, coworkers and teammates. He was laid to rest last Thursday at 11AM.
I can think of no greater sadness then for a parent to have to lose a child. Many of you are parents and fully understand this. Please do what you can to help this player and his family through this incredibly difficult time. You can help by making a donation to one of two funds:
