On February 10th 2007 the CIASA established a new policy for the Spring 2007 season. The CIASA draft-schedule will be posted 1 week prior to the first week of regular season games (on or about the week of MARCH 27TH, 2009).
Once the draft-schedule has been posted, teams can review it for errors and request to make changes for a 1week (7days) period with no penalties and/or fees.
The CIASA will accommodate as many requested changes as possible to the draft-schedule and publish an updated final-schedule immediately after the 1-week period has ended. No change requests will be accepted after the 1week period. The draft-schedule will be posted on or about 3/27/09. The final-schedule will be posted on or about 4/03/09.
Please notify the CIASA of any scheduling errors immediately.
A team wishing to change the draft-schedule within the 1week period should contact their opponent directly and negotiate a new play date/time. The opposing team however, is under no obligation to agree to a reschedule. If the game cannot be rescheduled and is not played during the time indicated on the final-schedule, the team not able to make the match as originally scheduled will be deemed to have forfeited.
The forfeiting team will be assessed a fee. If notice is given to the CIASA 2 days or more prior to the match, the forfeiting team will be charged $75. This money will go to their opponent. If the CIASA does not receive notice 2 days prior to the match, the forfeiting team will be charged $150. If the referees are at the scheduled match, this money will pay the referees. If referees are not present, $75 will go to the opponent and $75 will go to the CIASA. The opponent will receive 3 points in the standings for a forfeit. The forfeiting team will receive 0 points.
If both parties agree to a reschedule with the previously stated timeframe, the CIASA must be notified immediately of the schedule change. If referees and fields are available on the requested date/time, the CIASA will reschedule the match into the final-schedule.
Once the final-schedule has been published, the CIASA will reschedule games for two reasons:
1) Game conflicts (fields, refs and/or time)
2) Game is cancelled due to weather.
